The change starts with you! Think you have what it takes to be the next President or one of three Vice Presidents of Glasgow Clyde College?
Nominations for the 2019/20 academic year are open from now until the 22nd February 2019, so get in touch if you are interested!
GCCSA is run by students, for students, and all students are automatically members of GCCSA. We are determined to represent students’ best interests here at Glasgow Clyde College.
Every spring, we elect a new full time president and three part-time vice presidents to represent the student body cross campus at Glasgow Clyde College. We not only seek to represent students but also wish to forge strong links with external organisations and partners, to ensure GCCSA can continue to help to improve the overall student learning experience. These roles are selected via an election process but they are also PAID positions.
Being a part of the action could be a great benefit not only to you and your future, but could also make a real difference to the learning and development of your peers, and to improving Glasgow Clyde College as a whole.
This is a great opportunity to have a paid job which also directly impacts your place of study. Please note that the president role is full time therefore needs to be someone either taking a gap year from their studies or someone finishing up and taking on this role to gain experience before moving onto further studies or work roles. The three vice president positions however are part time and will work around your timetable at college. If you are unsure about any of this, then please ask us, often some people have a misconception that the role is not for them but you may be surprised after speaking to us and it could turn out that you are exactly the type of individual who we are looking for!
Contact us on GCCSA@glasgowclyde.ac.uk to let us know if you are interested and would like more information.
Once you have indicated your interest with us we will send you on a Key Dates document which gives you an overview of the process and also an Expression of Interest Form. If you would then like to run in the election we would ask you to please return the expression of interest form to our Development Officer, Jodie McNair before the deadline at email@example.com or hand it into one of the three GCCSA offices based cross campus.
Feel free to contact Jodie on firstname.lastname@example.org or GCCSA@glasgowclyde.ac.uk if you have any questions or queries, face to face meetings can also be arranged if you would like to discuss anything further.
